Governance
The Board of County Commissioners in each county appoints the board of directors. This board governs the Northeast Colorado RETAC. This structure ensures equal representation and balanced expertise from both pre-hospital and facility-based sectors. Our 18 representatives across the nine counties work to uphold the highest standards of care and coordination.
Mission and Operations
We are one of 11 RETACs designated by the Colorado Revised Statutes. We operate within a framework of regular planning and budgeting cycles. Our mission is to facilitate seamless coordination among counties, agencies, and hospital facilities, driving toward cost-effective planning and goal implementation.
Commitment to Patient Care
At the core of our mission is patient care. By fostering collaboration and innovation among emergency medical and trauma system providers, we adapt to evolving challenges efficiently and effectively. We act as a liaison between care providers and the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment. We advocate for policies and practices that prioritize patient well-being.
Overcoming Challenges
We face many challenges. They include regulatory changes, reimbursement complexities, recruitment, and retention issues. Northeast Colorado RETAC stands ready to support agencies in navigating these hurdles. Together, we are committed to continually improving the standards of patient care in our community.
