About the Role
UCHealth is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to serve as the Manager of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in Windsor, Colorado. This position is responsible for overseeing EMS operations, ensuring optimal patient care, fleet and crew readiness, staff performance, and collaboration with internal departments and external partners.
This is a key leadership position supporting high-performing EMS teams across Northern Colorado.
Key Responsibilities

Provide operational and clinical oversight of EMS crews, fleet, and daily readiness.

Ensure high-quality patient care and act as a liaison with hospitals, providers, and external agencies.

Lead and support EMS staff, including performance management, engagement, development, and conflict resolution.

Develop departmental goals aligned with UCHealthโs strategic vision.

Manage communications, contracts, vendor relationships, and budget compliance.
-
Participate in or provide patient care as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
-
RN: Completion of an accredited Nursing program (BSN preferred if <3 yearsโ experience).
-
Paramedic or EMT: High school diploma or GED (Bachelorโs degree preferred).
Certifications (as applicable):
-
RN or Paramedic: Colorado RN License or EMT-P certification within 90 days. BLS & ACLS required.
-
EMT: Current Colorado EMT certification/licensure and BLS required.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of relevant EMS, clinical, or healthcare leadership experience.
Required Credentials (based on track):

ACLS โข BLS โข EMT โข EMT-Paramedic โข RN (as applicable)
