Spanning a wide geographic area, we bring together innovative and passionate experts who offer diverse perspectives and real-world experience. Brett is the EMS operations Lieutenant at Sterling Fire Department. He has worked in rural EMS for more than 23 years. His background includes Private, County, and Fire Based EMS. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical science from Colorado State University. Brett has served as a Primary EMS educator, SWAT Paramedic, and Field Training Officer. He is also the founder and executive director of SadieBug Charities INC.
Cassie Green, BSN, RN, CEN, CFRN

Cassie is the Trauma Program Manager at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Morgan, CO (Level III). She has been an RN for 18 years, with ER, Critical Care and Flight nursing experience. Cassie is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, American Trauma Society, and Air & Surface Transport Nurse Association. She is a certified TNCC, ENPC and a Stop the Bleed Instructor.
Keriann Josh, NRP

Keriann is the Director for the City of Yuma Ambulance Service. This is a rural, municipal-based EMS agency. It serves 1100 square miles of Yuma and Washington counties on the Northeast plains.
James Robinson, MA, LP
James Robinson, MA, LPVice-President, Larimer County since 2023
James is the CEO of the Thompson Valley Health Service District and the Chief of Thompson Valley EMS. He is a Colorado Native with over 35 years of experience in emergency medical services (EMS) as an EMS clinician and leader in volunteer, private, and public EMS. He is active in local, regional, state and national EMS, public health, and emergency management initiatives, including the Colorado Senate Bill 225 EMS Sustainability Taskforce.

Christine is the Trauma Program Manager at Medical Center of the Rockies and has been with UCHealth for 25 years. She has enjoyed caring for trauma patients her entire career. She is an ATCN and Stop the Bleed Instructor. She is also a Colorado State Trauma Surveyor and is on the Performance Improvement subcommittee of the Colorado Trauma Network.

Travis is the Director of Morgan County Ambulance Service and EMS Education Coordinator at Morgan Community College. He is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration. He represents rural Colorado on the State Emergency Medical Trauma Advisory Council (SEMTAC).

Jamie is the Trauma Program Manager at Sterling Regional MedCenter (Level III). She has been an RN for 19 years, with over 12 years ER experience. Jamie is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association. She also belongs to the American Trauma Society. She serves on the membership committee of the Colorado ENA. She is a certified TNCC instructor and a Stop the Bleed Instructor.
Krista Terrell, RN

Krista obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from UNC. She has been a nurse for 16 years. She has also worked as a Trauma Nurse Coordinator for 9 years in a rural hospital in Eastern Colorado.

Pam has been in EMS for 29 years. She is a Flight Nurse for UCHealth Lifeline. She has also served on SEMTAC and helped develop the State Air Medical Licensing rules.

Billie Carlson, Chief Nursing Officer for Trauma and the Emergency Department at Sedgwick County Health Center, has more than 20 years of service. She directs trauma readiness and clinical operations, including staffing, policy compliance, and performance improvement, and promotes ongoing training and coordination. Her steady leadership strengthens SCHC’s emergency response and drives quality outcomes for patients and staff.
Tasha Harris

Tasha Harris is the Director of Sedgwick County Ambulance and currently serves as the elected County Coroner. A paramedic since 2012, she brings over 15 years of frontline and leadership experience in rural EMS. Tasha is also a small business owner and active community volunteer, offering a grounded and service-driven perspective to the NCRETAC board.

Josh Poles, DO
Josh Poles, DORegional Medical Director since 2019
Dr. Poles is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician. He is the EMS Medical Director for Longmont Fire Department and AIMS Community College Paramedic Program. He also serves as Medical Director for Weld County Regional Communications Center and various other EMS educational programs. He completed medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He finished his Emergency Medicine residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He has published papers on Targeted Temperature Management and dispatcher accuracy at predicting stroke.
Nick Nudell, PhD(c), MS, MPhil, NRP
Nick Nudell, PhD(c), MS, MPhil, NRPExecutive Director since 2024
Nick is a seasoned paramedic, healthcare leader, and paramedic scientist with over 25 years of experience advancing EMS systems across the U.S. He also serves as the founding Chair of the American College of Paramedics, a board member for EMSAC and the Colorado Chapter of NAEMSP, and a paramedic scientist with The Paramedic Foundation.

A National EMS10 Innovator and contributor to the ACOG/CDC Maternal Mortality Prevention in EMS initiative, Nick is currently completing his PhD focused on how paramedics can better serve rural communities. His work integrates clinical care, public policy, and EMS research to drive innovation and elevate the profession.

Sarah is the owner of Kona Bookkeeping LLC. She provides bookkeeping and payroll services to small businesses and non-profit organizations. She has a BS in Accounting from the University of Wyoming and 25 years of experience.
