The Injury Prevention Committee meets quarterly or as needed, as determined by the Chair. A majority of active members constitutes a quorum. Decisions are made by consensus; in the event of a tie, the Chair casts the deciding vote.

Chair

A current NCRETAC Board member, appointed by the President. Leads the committee, sets the agenda, and serves as liaison to the Board.

Co-Chair

A member with experience in injury prevention or public health, appointed by the Board. Supports the Chair and brings relevant expertise to committee activities.

Members

EMS professionals, public health officials, educators, law enforcement representatives, and community advocates. Representation from all nine counties is encouraged.

The committee charter was approved March 17, 2026 and is available in the Committee Charters and Procedures Manual.
