Each year, the NCRETAC Annual Awards celebrate the people and organizations who quietly and consistently strengthen emergency medical and trauma care across Northeast Colorado. These recipients represent the best of our regional system: professionals who show up for their communities, support one another across agencies, and help ensure patients receive high-quality care no matter where or when they need it. By recognizing leadership, clinical excellence, education, and collaboration, these awards highlight the individuals and teams whose work makes our EMS and trauma system safer, stronger, and more connected for the communities we serve.

Recognizes an individual whose career reflects sustained, exceptional contributions to EMS, trauma care, or emergency medicine, honoring long-term leadership, mentorship, and system-building.
Honors an individual who provides exceptional leadership within EMS or the trauma system, recognizing vision, integrity, and positive influence through collaboration and advocacy.
Recognizes a physician who provides outstanding medical direction and leadership for a trauma program or EMS system, advancing clinical excellence, system improvement, and trauma continuum collaboration.
Honors a trauma program manager who demonstrates excellence in coordination, quality improvement, compliance, and system leadership, strengthening trauma program performance and EMS collaboration.
Recognizes an ALS-level provider who demonstrates advanced clinical expertise, sound judgment, leadership, and professionalism, elevating patient care and EMS system excellence.
Honors a registered nurse who demonstrates outstanding clinical expertise, leadership, and collaboration in emergency or trauma care, strengthening EMS–hospital integration and patient-centered outcomes.
Honors an EMS educator who exemplifies excellence in teaching, mentorship, and professional development – inspiring learners and strengthening the EMS workforce.
Recognizes a BLS-level provider who exemplifies professionalism, clinical excellence, teamwork, and dedication to patient care, strengthening the effectiveness of the EMS system.
