About
Northeast Physicians’ Advisory Board
Clinical Oversight
Provides physician-level guidance on protocols, scope of practice, and clinical standards across prehospital, emergency, and trauma settings in the nine-county region.
Protocol Advisory
Reviews and recommends evidence-based clinical guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care across all EMS and trauma agencies in Northeast Colorado.
Quality Improvement
Monitors clinical performance data, identifies system improvement opportunities, and provides recommendations to the Board and Clinical Committee on regional quality initiatives.
Medical Direction
Coordinates with the regional medical director, hospital partners, and specialty physicians on clinical governance, EMPAC engagement, and medical advisory support to the regional EMS system.
Physician Participation
Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers Are Welcome
- NEPAB is open to physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants practicing in the nine-county region
- Meets quarterly, immediately before the NCRETAC Board meeting, one morning four times a year
- No formal membership requirement: attend as your schedule allows and contribute where your expertise is most useful
- Direct influence on regional EMS protocols, clinical standards, and prehospital medical oversight

Meetings are conducted under Robert’s Rules of Order, except where NCRETAC Bylaws or adopted policies provide otherwise.
Public Comment
Public comment periods are designated on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. Comments should be directed to the Chair.
